Bank of New Hampshire Supports the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains
Bedford, New Hampshire – March 26, 2015 – Bank of New Hampshire is proud to support the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains at the $2,500 sponsorship level for their 3rd Annual ToGetHerThere Luncheon. The luncheon will be held on Friday, March 27th from 11 am to 1 pm at Southern New Hampshire University.
The Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains serve more than 10,500 girls throughout New Hampshire and Vermont. With the guidance of more than 4,000 dedicated and trained volunteers, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Through hundreds of programs offered each year, girls develop their leadership potential through activities that enable them to discover their values, skills and the world; connect with others in a multicultural environment; and take action to make a difference in the world.
The ToGetHerThere Luncheon is the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains signature fundraising event. The funds that are raised at this event support programing such as STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), financial literacy & money management, healthy living, “Girls Rock” the capitol legislative internship, environmental studies and financial aid for membership fees, books & materials, uniforms and camperships for those in need. No girl is ever turned away from the Girl Scouts because of lack of finances.
“The education that the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains provide is vital to our youth and community,” stated Donna Guimond, AVP – Bedford Office Manager for Bank of New Hampshire. “We are proud to support the mission and vision of their future.”
