Bank of New Hampshire Launches New Mobile Features to Help Protect Your Accounts

Laconia, New Hampshire – January 13, 2016 – Bank of New Hampshire is committed to offering the latest technology to its customers to make banking safer and more convenient. Utilizing biometrics (fingerprint) to gain access to mobile banking is a perfect example of making banking safer and more convenient. Bank of New Hampshire spends a considerable amount of time and resources developing support for this type of technology.

Over the past five years, Bank of New Hampshire has introduced a number of new banking enhancements including ATMs that take deposits directly thus eliminating the need for an envelope, contactless debit cards that use NFC (near field communication) for payments, and the introduction of a mobile banking app that has all the functionality of online banking.

Bank of New Hampshire continues to develop support for the latest technology and is currently testing a new type of ATM that has more features and functionality than your typical ATM. The first planned deployment will be at the new Portsmouth office scheduled to open this spring.

Bank of New Hampshire will also be one of the first banks in NH to deploy a dual interface EMV debit card where customers can simply “tap” their cards rather than inserting them into a Point of Sale (POS) terminal. This enhancement over a standard EMV card will make the process of making a purchase faster and more convenient.

Bank of New Hampshire, founded in 1831, provides deposit, lending and wealth management products and services to families and businesses throughout New Hampshire. With 21 banking offices throughout New Hampshire and assets exceeding $1 billion, Bank of New Hampshire is the oldest and one of the largest independent banks in the state. Bank of New Hampshire is a mutual organization, focused on the success of the bank’s customers, communities and employees, rather than stockholders.  For more information, call 1-800-832-0912 or visit www.BankNH.com.
