Annual Good Scout Award Luncheon Raises over $62,000!

Laconia, New Hampshire – The 24th Annual Greater Lakes Region Good Scout Award Luncheon was held on November 19, 2015. This year’s luncheon was chaired by Mark Primeau, President & CEO of Bank of New Hampshire and raised a record breaking total of $62,500 for the Daniel Webster Council, Boy Scouts of America.

The Good Scout recipients at this year’s luncheon were Paul Gaudet, Sr., Owner of AutoServ  and Corporate Honoree, the AutoServ Dealerships. “We’re honored to be recognized and support the efforts and teachings of the scouting program,” stated Paul Sr.

Guest speaker and Lieutenant of the local police explorer Post 75, Cassandra Pelletier, reflected on what she has learned as a police explorer alongside the Tilton Police Department through the explorer program. Cassandra has been instrumental in growing Post 75 from two explorers to its current enrollment of twelve. This program has helped her to gain and maintain friendships for someone new to the area and gain career training for her future while giving back to the community.

The $62,500 raised from the luncheon will benefit and enrich scouting throughout the Lakes Region. Scouting remains strong in New Hampshire and throughout the entire nation. Scouts are still guided by the ideals of the Scout Oath and Law, having come to the aid of their neighbors and communities in ways both large and small.
