Bank of New Hampshire’s Prestige Plus Members travel to the Canadian Rockies
Laconia, New Hampshire – November 17, 2016 – Bank of New Hampshire’s Prestige Plus customers recently traveled to the magnificent Canadian Rockies by Rail and Motor Coach.
Highlights included: ● Vancouver ● Butchart Gardens ● Victoria ● Gold Leaf Service aboard Rocky Mountaineer Rail ● Lake Louise ● Peyto Lake ● Columbia Icefield ● Lake Moraine ● Banff ● Calgary
Valerie Drouin, SVP - Prestige Plus Manager stated, “This was the fourth time Bank of New Hampshire has escorted our customers to the Canadian Rockies since the program’s inception in 1989. It has served to be one of the most popular tours offered by the bank. Drouin went on to say, “On the night we announced our Canadian Rockies tour, 102 Prestige Plus members signed up immediately. It is extremely satisfying to realize that Bank of New Hampshire is offering such a popular travel program for our valued Prestige Plus members.”
The tour began in the beautiful city of Vancouver. From there Prestige Plus members traveled by ferry to one of the most beautiful gardens in the world, Butchart Gardens in Victoria. The next day the group boarded the Rocky Mountaineer train for a two-day scenic “journey of a lifetime” through the heart of the Canadian Rockies. With a 360 degree view through the train’s glass ceiling, Prestige Plus members were able to view stunning mountain peaks at every angle. The group was very lucky on the Vancouver to Lake Louise rail route, as they also spotted salmon in the beautiful blue waters of the Fraser River, black bears, mountain sheep, bald eagles, elk, moose and a huge brown grizzly bear.
While in Lake Louise, the group enjoyed spectacular panoramic views of Whitehorn Mountain while riding gondolas to the top. Another highlight was a visit to Columbia Icefield, a mass of glacial ice which is over 1,000 feet thick and represents the largest accumulation of ice south of the Arctic Circle. As a special surprise, “Scotch on the Rocks” was served to the group with crystal clear glacier water.
As the group traveled from Lake Louise to Banff they stopped and admired the view at Moraine Lake, known for its vibrant blue/green color of its water. The group then enjoyed a scenic drive through Banff featuring the powerful Bow Falls and Hoodoos – known as the “Land of the Sleeping Giants”.
Prestige Plus members were very impressed with a first class accommodations offered throughout the entire tour. Lake front rooms at Chateau Lake Louise provided a spectacular view of the sunrise and sunset over the glacier fed lake and their stay at the “Castle in the Rockies” – Fairmont Banff Springs provided unsurpassed luxury.
“We plan all of our trips months in advance and customize them to meet the needs of our valued Prestige Plus members,” stated Drouin. “With 27 years of experience in the bank travel industry, our customers know when they sign up for a trip the quality will be unsurpassed. Our Prestige Plus Travel program was recognized as one of the top bank programs in the country. We plan and arrange these trips as a way to thank our members for choosing Bank of New Hampshire.”
